Girl Crush: Merrilee Rush

Just call me angel, of the morning, angel.
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby.

This week's girl crush is none other than the lady with golden voice, Merrilee Rush, best known for her melt-your-heart version of Angel of The Morning which earned her a Grammy nomination and Top 10 Billboard hit in 1968. It's a song we've always kind of taken for granted but still holds up today as one of the most satisfying tunes to belt out when alone in the car or shower. We're also totally feeling her wild-child 70s look. With her perfect heavy bangs and enviable doe-eyes, she is currently giving Stevie a real run for her money in the "we want to be you" category.

Swoon.

  3. I totally agree about Angel of the Morning! It's one of those songs that just hits right. I remember my mom playing it all the time when I was little, and now I find myself singing along whenever it comes on the radio. It's funny how some music just sticks with you. Speaking of time-killers, have you ever tried that game Infinite Craft? You start with four elements and build literally anything. Anyway, Merrilee Rush definitely has a timeless cool about her, and I can see the Stevie Nicks comparison. Her style is definitely something I'd love to emulate more.
