Best dressed on the 2014 Emmys red carpet

There were so many great ones to choose from this time around. Our Best Dressed list includes but is not limited to...

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier. The cutouts. The baaaaaack. She may not have won an award last night but the internets seem to agree that her dress did. Or her stylist?

Julia Roberts, who has a bit of a hit-and-miss track record, stunned in this embellished Elie Saab number. We don't think it's possible to go wrong in Elie Saab. Can we please look that good at her age? (or like, ever?)

Little lady Kiernan Shipka was extremely ladylike in this metalic accented Antonio Berardi number.

Taylor Shillling sparkled in her embellished Zuhair Murad gown.

Kata Mara often does white and it really suits her. We loved her edgy J. Mendel gown.

Julie Bowen looked like a boho-glam goddess in this pretty print dress by Peter Som.

Kristen Wiig rocked a 90s monochrome look in a simple white Vera Wang. We just really love her, basically.  She could have worn anything.

Heidi Klum was a pretty pop of colour in Zac Posen.

Michelle Monaghan and Allison Williams both looked gorgeous in Giambattista Valli Couture.

Robin Wright took home the cooler-than-the-rest-of-these-b*tches award in this incredibly sexy, impossibly chic white backless jumpsuit by Ralph Lauren. We are speechless, and she is everything. Bow. Down.

And last but not least the lovely Claire Danes, who can do no wrong on the red carpet, won the day in fiery red Givenchy Cotour.

  1. Every so often there are well known celebrities of such sophistication, whose brains are clear to the point, that it is hard to know how to converse with them without feeling like an idiot.
