Best known for her masterful role as Wendy Torrance, we still like her best as Alvy Singer's rebound hippie-waif in Annie Hall: "Sex with you is really a Kafka-esque experience."
A muse for acclaimed director Robert Altman, she was a sought-after beauty who dated both Paul Simon and Ringo Starr in the 70s. We can't get past her striking almost ghost-like features (those EYES!!) and unique blend of fragile yet statuesque beauty. Stunner Shelley Duvall is our 70s glam style-crush du jour.

Totally agree with you there!
ReplyDeleteHer unique look always fascinated me, especially how she could be both ethereal and deeply expressive. When I need to unwind after a busy day, I've actually been chilling out with a game called Tiny Fishing. There's something incredibly satisfying about slowly upgrading your gear and finally reeling in one of those rare, elusive fish. It's a surprisingly meditative experience. Her iconic roles, like Wendy Torrance, had such a distinct style; do you think her fashion choices in real life influenced her on-screen presence much?
