10 Reasons to rent a dress this spring!

 
Happy 2017, kids! We are back on the blog after a long hiatus spent getting settled into our new permanent space here on Dundas West (The Fox Den, we affectionately call it), and working out all the kinks of our new dress rental business which has been growing like crazy every month! We could not be more thrilled that you guys are as enthusiastic about renting dresses as we are. It's better for the environment, your wallet, and your Instagram feed; we think pretty soon everyone in town will be renting event dresses instead of buying. Well, we hope so anyway!

In case you're looking for a reason to come down and borrow one of our gorgeous dresses this spring, we've come up with not one but TEN possible events in your calendar where you'll probably want to rent instead of buy. 

So here they are in no particular order..

1.)  VACATION.  Heading south this year, maybe for a destination wedding or just to escape this godforsaken frigid country? Why not rent a summery dress or two to take with you? Our 8 day rental term accommodates your resort stay, however if you're going to be away for longer just shoot us a call or an email and we can totally work something out. 

2.) YOUR BIRTHDAY. Oh hey there Birthday girl, guess what? If you're renting for your Birthday with us you get 10% OFF! That's right, right now Capricorn babes are enjoying our Birthday discount, and next month its all about you lovely Aquarian ladies.  Keep an eye on our Instagram for dress ideas and inspo based on your sign.  We're kind of astrology obsessed here at Fitzroy. 

3.) VALENTINES / GALENTINES DAY. Headed out for a special evening with your sweetie?  We have just the perfect thing to wow him or her - think sexy but chic. Single? Treat-yo-self to a night out with the girls in one of our hot little numbers that will make you look and feel amazing. True story, I met my husband on V-Day at an Anti-Valenties party designed for single people to go out and give the finger to love.  I can't remember what I wore but I do remember making an effort, and if I could've rented a cute dress like this I totally would've!

4.)  PROM. Can you believe we already have bookings for Prom?? Man these kids are ON IT. We cannot even imagine being that level of organized back when we were 18. Bravo youths! Whether it's your prom or maybe someone you know, (a friend, a neighbour, a cousin, your daughter) who has her big epic grad night coming up, send her our way for a stunning dress that is definitely going to be a one-time-wear!

5.) CHARITY GALA. Motionball is coming up, and that's just the tip o' the iceberg. And no one wants to shell out a thousand dollars on a dress, that money should be going to charity, right? THANK YOU. 

6.) WEDDING SEASON. Hands up if you have 4 or more weddings this summer. Add in the bachelorette party and the rehersal dinner and that's a f*ck ton of dresses. Get a jump on it and reserve your favourites early, you can always switch if we get something new in later on that you prefer! From backyard weddings to restaurant weddings to banquet halls and golf courses, we've got you covered. Our dresses have partied in the Berkeley Fieldhouse more times than we can count so they can definitely tell you where the bathroom is or the fastest route to the bar. 

7.) AWARD SHOW GALAS. The Junos, The Canadian Screen Awards and the CAFA Awards are just a few of the big ones coming up over the next few months. This year why not wow em on the red carpet in something a bit different.  

8.) WHEN YOU'RE THE BRIDE. We have rentals to cover ALL the many events surrounding your wedding, from the engagement party to the bridal shower, the bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. We've even had some of our dresses worn by chill brides on their big day! We cried!

 

9.) BABY SHOWER. We have so many sweet little numbers just dying to drink mimosas and nibble on cucumber sandwiches with ya. Oh and they kill it at those diaper changing games. 

10.) TRIPS. NYC, Vegas, LA, Europe? Amp up your travel wardrobe with some killer day-to-night rental dresses and save your $ for all the those dinners, drinks and shopping.
